Professor of Psychiatry has been associated with perinatal psychiatric services at NIMHANS since 2007. Her special interests include medication use during lactation, mother infant bonding disorders, mental health problems during pregnancy.

Professor of Psychiatry and is working in the area of Perinatal Psychiatry since past 4
years. He is interested in socio-cultural factors associated with postpartum psychosis, electro-
convulsive therapy, neurobiology of mother-infant bonding and etiopathogenesis of postpartum
psychosis.
Dr. Veena Satyanarayana
Ph.D
Additional Professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology and a clinical psychology consultant for an Adult Psychiatry Unit. Her clinical and research interest is in the broad area of women's mental health. She received training in Interpersonal Psychotherapy (from trainers of the Weissman and Klerman Group, USA) an evidence based treatment for antenatal and postpartum depression.
Dr. M. Thomas Kishore
Ph.D
He is Additional Professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology. He is a consultant Clinical Psychologist for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Services, Perinatal Psychiatric Services and an adult Psychiatry Unit. He offers developmental assessment and intervention programmes for the infants of the mothers, who report for perinatal psychiatric services at NIMHANS. He is certified a professional to use DAS II and Bayley Scales.
Dr. Sundarnag Ganjekar

Additional Professor of Psychiatry, is associated with Perinatal Psychiatry since his psychiatry residency training. Some of his research interest include "Influence of stress during pregnancy on fetal outcome", "Identification and interventions for mental health issues during pregnancy at the community level", "developing training module for community health workers on identification and interventions on maternal mental health issues".

Dr Rashmi Arasappa is Associate Professor in the Dept of Psychiatry. She has recently joined the Perinatal Psychiatry team. She has keen interest in Mother Baby Yoga (Itsy Bitsy Yoga). Before joining the team she was part of Dept of Integrative Medicine, NIMHANS.

Assistant Professor at Department of Psychiatric Social Work. Her interest is on Women mental health, linked with perinatal clinic and is involved with psychosocial assessment and interventions, marital and family intervention, group work intervention with caregivers and spouses of women, bonding assessment and intervention.
